False advertising

Part of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s ‘Zero to Hero’ advertising campaign accompanying ‘Operation Sunrise’.
Inflation is now at over 1000%, meaning that people have to carry huge bundles of notes to do the most basic shopping.
The latest measure (Operation Sunrise) the RBZ has taken is to literally drop three zero’s, and print new bearer cheques (we don’t have real money in Zimbabwe) with a lower denomination.
Note the very misleading impression this advert gives that the new denomination also reflects a drop in inflation: ‘was ,000 now ‘.
